Gary Batson

Gary was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York.

He has a BA in English from Fordham University, a Masters in Communications, an Ed.M. in Education from Teachers College Columbia University, and is a Ph.D. candidate at the University of Maryland University College .

He is presently Executive Producer of a children's theater and is working on a play about the bussing crisis of the 1970's.

Lisa Rubinstein
Lisa was born and raised in NYC and went to college at The University of Michigan for two years, later transferring to New York University. She majored in TV/Film Production and minored in punk rock.

She was a production coordinator on the 1984 Olympics in Los Angeles, and stayed there for two more years working in the film and television industry.  Returning to New York City she worked with the NYC Commissioners on media initiatives involved with their specific agencies, and produced many Public Service Announcements

Lisa has been studying Spanish for year and finds it helps here to understand students learning English as a second language.

"As a teacher I am determined, and up for the challenge to connect with my students in ways that make their specific learning relevant.  And that includes me continuing to learn every step of the way."

Sam Loprete

Sam earned a BA in Psychology at Central Connecticut State University, with Psi Chi Honors.

Sam's interests are economics, philosophy, music, politics, and education. He is excited to be a part of a team whose goal is to have students learn rather than memorize. He thinks students should be excited to attend class and be taught to think for themselves.

Heidi Nakanishi

Heidi is lives in New York City. She holds a M.S. in interactive media, a B.S. in mass communication, and is TESOL certified to teach English to speakers of other languages.

Heidi was a volunteer tutor of conversational English, for three years, at the International Center in New York. During her time there, she enjoyed the experience of working one-to-one with partners and getting to know about their cultures.

Because of her own studies in Spanish and other foreign languages, she has the ability to empathize with the frustrations and challenges of being a non-native speaker which enables her to be a very patient teacher.

Heidi is a former member of the United Nations Singers who enjoys karaoke, acting, playing chess, and dancing Argentine tango, in her spare time.

Leiana Funck
Leiana is a teacher living in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.  She received her degree in English Literature from Tulane University in New Orleans.  

 With fifteen years of teaching experience, she is a published children's book author and poet.  In her spare time, she works as an artist and jewelry designer.

Ann Leverette

Born in the United States of America in a little town called Athens, Georgia.

Ann attended Pine Manor College in Massachusetts earning a degree in Management.
 Ann Loves to act on stage. She has starred in many plays and has a passion for theater. She is a writer, director, and a professional voice over artist.

Ann worked as a resident assistant and cultural immersion leader for the English Language Institute  in Boston where she gained the opportunity to make friends with students from all over the world. Ann loves learning about the many different cultures of the world and truly appreciates the knowledge we can all learn by embracing our neighbors not just for their similarities, but for their differences as well. 

Joseph N. Wdowski, B.F.A., M.S. Ed.

Joe is the founder of Teacher 4 Me and our school headmaster. He was born in New York City and grew up in Larchmont, N.Y.

He has B.F.A. in Cinema with minors in History and Political Science and a Master's in Education from the University of Bridgeport. He has a year of graduate studies in Recent Chinese History and American History from Southern Connecticut State University. He also studies Chinese for 13 months at Taiwan National Normal University in Taipei.

Joe has taught University in Taipei for eight years, Chongqing, China for three years, and in the United States as an adjunct professor. In the past twenty years he has taught over 5,000 students and is a published author.

 Alex Dekhterman 

Alex holds a Bachelors in Chemistry from New York University, as well as a Masters in Biomedical Engineering, and Education from New York University.

He has been a High School Teacher for over ten years working with students from various educational backgrounds.

Alex enjoys to teach students in an interactive and fun way to make learning enjoyable. During his free time he spends time in nature.

Nicholas Anzivino
Nicholas has been a teacher of ESL in both South Korea and the United States over the past 8 years. He holds Certificate in English Grammar, London Teacher Training College. Certificate in Teaching Vocabulary, London Teacher Training College and completed TEFL 100 hour training course with an A grade.

He graduated from Sarah Lawrence College, Bronxville, N.Y. with a B.A. in European History and English Poetry. He also attended Wadham College, Oxford University, Oxford, UK for his Junior Year abroad to study International Relations and renaissance literature.

Nicholas tries to find out as much as he can about individual students to tailor lessons to their needs before each class.

Arnaud Prevot

Originally from France, Arnaud has been teaching since 2004. While he focuses on languages, he has also taught technology and business administration. He has visited 45 US states and has lived in Texas, California, Oregon, Washington, Georgia, and Maryland.  

He holds a B.A. , an M.B.A, and a Master of Management from the University of Dallas. In addition, he obtained his doctorate in marketing (DBA) from Argosy University in 2013.  

Dr. Prevot has lived in the United States for over 25 years, and has additional interests in book collecting, gardening, photography, and blogging. 

Natasha Ednie

Natasha lived in New York her entire life.

She graduated from Wagner College with a BS in Arts Administration.

Natasha is excited to engage with and meet new people with a profound desire to better their English. "Growing up in New York, I've been around many non-English speakers in my neighborhood and I have found that casual every-day conversations are the best way to perfect a new language."

Karl Rosenborg
Karl is an experienced ESL Teacher with a B.S. Degree in Computer Science and is certified in Teaching English as a Foreign Language.  

He is currently living in Asia. 

"My artistic talent and creative attributes will be a great asset in the classroom and be beneficial to all. I have abundant energy, enjoy sports, being creative, and I am patient. I have a sincere love for teaching and enjoy creating a comfortable atmosphere where students can learn and also enjoy themselves."

Nikole Taylor
Nikole was born and raised in New York City. She attended college at Buffalo State University, and graduated with a Bachelor’s in Communications.

She enjoys movies, reading, writing, and is currently working on her own comic, and children’s books. After experiencing different work opportunities and being exposed to various cultures- Nikole realized that she truly enjoys helping people. Now, Nikole is here to help you in your journey to learn English.

Felicia Walcott

Felicia graduated from Brooklyn College with a Bachelors of Fine Arts and earned her CELTA certification from The Teaching House in New York City.

She has taught at Huntington Learning Center in Brooklyn NY and at the ESL Teacher BlueData International Institute also in New York.

She loves the arts especially discovering artist expression in music, books, film, and other visual media.

Myhnée Zacher

Myhnée is an English teacher from Melbourne, Australia.  With one year of experience teaching both beginner, intermediate and business English levels overseas.

She thoroughly enjoys helping her students learn the English language by providing an enjoyable environment and coaching in a relaxed manner. Having studied Business Administration and Legal Studies at university, she is experienced in using business language and formal English. 

Myhnée has completed her CELTA (Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) provided by Cambridge English, a qualification that provides essential knowledge and experience as a teacher of English as a Second Language (ESL).

Marlaina Beer

Marlaina was born in Milford Connecticut and currently resides in New York City.

 She has teaching experience at multiple age levels from early childhood through adulthood. Her English teaching experience is at the college level, in which she specialized in one on one and in classroom tutoring, often with people who were learning English as a second language.

 Marlaina is currently attending college for jewelry design and gemology.

Josephine Juliao

Mrs. Josephine Juliao is entering into her 12th year of teaching. She is a Native New Yorker living and teaching Language ARts in Cali Colombia.  

She holds a Bachelors in Communication and a Masters in Curriculum & Instruction.  Additionally she is certified in ESOL, Reading, and Gifted Education for grades K-12.

Grace Lohr
Grace has a B.A., a J.D., and a Masters in Education and is a Connecticut certified teacher.

After being an entertainment lawyer for twenty-five years, she changed careers and became a teacher. She taught several different grade levels and has taught adults.

For the last two years, Grace has been the ESL teacher and International Coordinator at a private high school in Stamford, CT.

David Zadick

American Business man who has provided business communications training for over 30 years.

Mr. Zadick has worked for large global corporations such as Avaya, Airbus, and NCR as a technical product and services specialist. He has traveled extensively through the world and has conducted business throughout North America and Europe.

Mr. Zadick earned his degree in Business Finance with Honors at the University of Tennessee.
He enjoys studying and reading about History, Military Technology, and International Geography. He maintains an extensive library of History Books and Music.    

Rachel Krause

Rachel  is presently a professor at Berkley College.

She has a B.F.A. in  Interdisciplinary / Visual Art from SUNY in Purchase  and a Masters in Art Education from SVA Graduate School. She has teaching certification from the New York, Department of Education and  is also a Kripalu Certified Yoga Teacher

She is a multidisciplinary artist & educator. She is strongly interested in cross- cultural exchange and creative problem-solving.
